Welcome to The Peri Files

Perimenopause, documented. Track the symptoms. Bring receipts.

Welcome to The Peri Files, a case-file for the hormonal crime scene known as perimenopause.

This is not a beige wellness corner where someone tells you to breathe through your hot flash while your bra is trying to kill you and your brain has deleted the word for “spatula.”

This is for the moments when you know something is happening in your body, but every symptom feels too random, too weird, too small, too embarrassing, or too hard to explain in a ten-minute appointment.

The Peri Files exists because symptoms are not drama. They are evidence.

Exhibit A

Your body is the case.

Hot flashes. Night sweats. Rage. Brain fog. Sleep wreckage. Cycle chaos. Patch timing. Breast tenderness. Weight changes. Body weirdness. Doctor notes. The thing you swore you would remember and absolutely did not.

What The Peri Files is becoming

The Peri Files is being built as a perimenopause-focused app and brand universe for tracking, documenting, laughing, coping, and occasionally filing a formal complaint with your own nervous system.

The app is currently in development, but the plan is simple:

  • Symptom Evidence for the hot flashes, night sweats, mood shifts, pain, sleep chaos, and mystery symptoms.
  • Patch Log for HRT reminders, site rotation, refill notes, and timing changes.
  • Boob Receipts for breast health reminders, tenderness notes, and mammogram tracking.
  • Cycle File for skipped periods, spotting, flooding, and weird timing.
  • Body Evidence for optional, private, shame-free body and weight-change tracking.
  • Case Notes and Dear Diary for the things that do not fit neatly into a checkbox.
  • Rage Ledger for irritability, overstimulation, weepiness, and “why is everyone breathing wrong?” moments.
  • Evidence Timeline so patterns stop looking random.
  • Provider Brief so you do not have to explain three months of symptoms from memory.
  • Quiet Room for calming sounds, micro-resets, and Do Not Perceive Me Mode.
  • Cold Case Club for fictional mini mysteries when your brain needs dopamine and absolutely no one speaking to you.
  • Sticker Lab for memes, stickers, and shareable evidence labels.

Why this exists

Because too many people hit perimenopause and get handed vague advice, dismissive answers, or a shrug in a paper gown.

Because “I don’t feel like myself” deserves more than “are you stressed?”

Because rage, fatigue, insomnia, brain fog, cycle changes, body changes, anxiety, libido shifts, and hot flashes do not always show up politely or one at a time.

And because when you are sitting across from a provider, it helps to have more than:

“I don’t know. Everything is weird and I might be losing my mind.”

The Peri Files is here to help you document the weird, spot the patterns, and bring the receipts.

What you’ll find here

This blog will become the public file room for The Peri Files.

Expect posts on perimenopause symptoms, HRT tracking, doctor visit prep, brain fog, rage, body evidence, sleep chaos, cycle changes, sticker-worthy moments, and the strange comfort of knowing you are not the only one documenting the nonsense.

Some posts will be practical. Some will be funny. Some will be both, because frankly, that is the only way to survive being sweaty, tired, furious, forgetful, and somehow still responsible for making dinner.

Final note for the record

The Peri Files is not here to diagnose you. It is not here to replace your doctor. It is not here to tell you what treatment you need.

It is here to help you track what is happening, organize your notes, see your own patterns, and walk into conversations with your healthcare provider with a stronger file.

Recorded. Not ignored.

Disclaimer: The Peri Files helps users track symptoms, reminders, notes, and patterns for conversations with healthcare providers. It does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or replace medical advice. If you are experiencing urgent or concerning symptoms, contact a qualified healthcare provider or seek emergency care.
