Symptom Receipts is a running log. No analysis, no conclusions. Just what’s on the tape.

Sleep
Worse the first two weeks. Better the third. No obvious reason for either. Hot flashes at 2am on four nights — not severe, just enough to pull me to the surface. Recovery time to fall back asleep is longer than it used to be. An hour, sometimes more.

Cognitive
One significant word-loss event (documented separately in Brain Fog). Otherwise functional. Output slowed on high-symptom days but not stopped. Found that working in shorter blocks — 45 minutes on, real break — produced more usable work than pushing through longer sessions.

Mood
Two notable rage events. Tracked both. One traced back to a boundary issue I’d been ignoring for three weeks. One traced back to being hungry, tired, and overscheduled simultaneously, which is not a perimenopause problem, that’s just physics.

Body
Joint stiffness in the morning — hips specifically — that clears within the first twenty minutes of moving. New this spring. Flagging for the doctor conversation.

Energy
Cyclical in a way that doesn’t follow the old patterns. I can’t predict high-energy days anymore by where I am in the month. Tracking continues.

These receipts are personal logs, not medical records. If you’re experiencing symptoms, a conversation with your provider is the right next step — not a blog post.
